Peggy Brooker is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for ImpediMed Limited, an Australian public company in San Diego, California. ImpediMed is the world leader in the development and distribution of medical devices for use in non-invasive clinical assessment of lymphedema. She began her financial career with Arthur Young (CPA’s) in Beverly Hills; worked for Ernst & Young for many years in the Los Angeles, Sydney – Australia and Orange County offices, rising to the position of audit partner. Peggy left the Ernst & Young LLP partnership in 2009.
Peggy grew up in Lakewood, California and graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Accounting. Peggy is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California CPAs Society, BIOCOM (a regional life sciences association) and Financial Executives International.
Peggy joined the Board of Directors of the Be Aware Foundation in August 2008; working initially as Director and CFO and now as a Director. Peggy and her husband, Bernie, have raised two sons, having lived in Sydney, Australia, Long Beach, California and now in Dana Point.
